Dublin Match Play

The Dublin Match Play has reached the semi finals stage and all roads lead to RGSC tomorrow. In the gents senior section the holder Keith Redmond faces Gary Healy and George McGreal meets Dave Hayden who is chasing his first victory in this competition. In the inters Glen Woodward plays Dave Hayden in the first semi and the young guns Sean Gallagher and Paul Flood meet in the other semi.The Junior section sees Dave Lee against Luke Birrell and Tom Ginnane v Gareth Walsh.
The ladies senior sees 2 of our greats Ger Ward v Sheelagh Elmes in an all Portmarnock clash and the other semi pits Pauline Balfe against her clubmate Vera Glennon in a Old Co duel.The inter sees local favorite Carol Tracey take on the shrewd Eileen Nolan.In the other semi Miriam Salmon plays Betty Cody in a match of high intrigue.The lady juniors sees Audrey Murphy v Marie Dooley in an all RGSC clash in the other semi Dora Keane plays Nell Moore hoping to prevent a clean sweep for RGSC in this section.We look forward to some top class fare and wish all the players every success also thanks to all who entered.
