County Strokeplay Championship Covid-19 Protocols

It’s important to remember that personal responsibility and your own judgement are more important than ever.  We all have a responsibility to protect ourselves and those around us.

  • All players and spectators must sign attendance sheet using your own pen
  • Anyone with colds or any symptoms of COVID-19 must stay away from the Championship
  • Wash your hands and your golf equipment before you leave home
  • Social distancing rules are to be observed on both the course and in car park
  • There will be no access to the clubhouse
  • Toilet facilities will be available, ensure you adhere to health & safety guidelines
  • Please arrive 10 minutes before your tee time ready to play with adherence to PPI dress code
  • Change your shoes in the car park
  • Do not handle the other players clubs or golf balls and do not shake hands
  • Do not touch flags or flagsticks.  Use the attachment to flagsticks to retrieve the ball without handling flagstick. To facilitate this, the rule that the flagstick must be removed and placed off the green is being suspended temporarily
  • Bunkers are in play, use your foot or club to repair the bunker after playing your shot clear of the bunker
  • Following play of a hole, do not approach the next tee box until all members of the group in front have played their tee-shots and left the tee box.
  • The player will mark his playing partners card and sign it at the end of the round, with the score agreed by both players, only the marker signs the card, the player does not touch his own card
  • The marker places the card in the box provided after scores have been agreed
  • There will be hand sanitizer available
  • The Championship will be played over 36 holes
  • If there is a tie, back 18 and so on will decide the results
  • There will be no scoreboard
  • There will be no presentation on the day. A presentation will be arranged later in the year when possible
  • There is limited car parking at the course
  • Bring your own sanitiser to the course & use regularly during the round
  • Bring your own food/hydration to the course
  • Players should be prepared for poor weather conditions as there will be no stopping in play to shelter
  • No sharing of umbrellas
  • After playing your 36 holes do not gather in groups   
  • Always observe social distancing
  • Any player not adhering to the protocols will not be allowed play
