Over the past two weekends we had great success in the ladies and gents championships.
The ladies took place in Ringcommons and on the Saturday local girl Ann Duffy took the junior title in impressive style.In the inter section Nuala O’ Gorman showed good form to take 3rd spot. In the senior section it was business as usual for Ger Ward with a typical efficient display to secure her 17th National singles title,we also had her clubmate Sheelagh Elmes return to good form to finish in second place.
The gents finals took place in Cunnigar Co Waterford and on Saturday we saw Damian Creevey take the inter title after a most impressive display over the 3 rounds.The seniors gave a great display with 3 of our players in the top 5 JR Crangle was r/up Junior Smith 3rd and Chris Gallagher 5th.
Well done to all who secured podium positions both ladies and gents and we look forward to the rest of the season with great relish.Also well done to all who entered and qualified we need to keep our numbers up to secure the future of the game.
