The Dublin Under 16 team got the Inter County weekend off to the perfect start with an excellent win over Meath in McBride on Friday. The guys were in red hot form in the scotch foursomes with Ciaran Gregan & Lynch shooting 46 as did Aaron Monaghan and Aaron Donnelly, the best score of the day was Ross O’Reilly and Jamie Power with a brilliant 44. They led by 11 shots and they continued in much the same vein in the singles as the other four counties struggled to make any inroads into their lead. Jamie Power produced the best score with a 49 but he was well supported by his team mates as they won the title by nine shots. Next stop for them is the National Inter County in Navan on August 24th. Well done to them.
The Gents & Ladies Seniors will hope to emulate the Under 16’s when they travel to Collinstown on Sunday in search of the Leinster titles. We wish them well
