Gibney & Crangle post wins in latest Dublin Scratch Cups

It wasa busy weekend in the capital for scratch cups with Portmarnock hosting their 1st one since 1992 on Saturday. There was over 80 players that took part and Eamon Gibney and Jonathan Gash led the way on -16 after 36 holes. In the final round Gibney added a further 48 to win the event by three shots from Darren Wells. Tracey McGrath became the 1st lady to make the final 12 and Mark O’Brien was the 1st Inter player. Gary Healy won the final 18 prize.
On Sunday the players travelled to Tallaght to play Glenville. There was over 110 who played here and Old County Inter Eric Byrne lead the way after 36 holes on -13. Eric was unable to maintain his form in the last round and JR Crangle came through in the final round to win with a closing 46. Stephen Murray finished 2nd after a final round of 48.
