Last weekend our ladies traveled to Fermoy for the ladies National stroke play.On Saturday in the inter section Glenda Hoey finished 3rd after a very solid display.On Sunday the seniors took center stage and here we saw 2 great displays over the first 36 holes. Maree O Toole shot 96 to take the clubhouse lead however not to be outdone Ger Ward shot a brilliant 94 to lead by 2 into the final 18.Ger shot 50 in the playoff and so she faced a further 9 holes with Tara Dillon St Bridgets after 9 they were still level but when Tara failed to match Ger’s birdie on 10 the title went to Ger. This was her 16th National title and we congratulate her on another wonderful success. Maree shot 52 in her final 18 to cap a very impressive display and well done to all the Dublin players who performed so well over the weekend.
