Thankyou to RGSC for hosting our ladies Championship on Saturday. The course was immaculate and challenging as always with the welcome and hospitality top class also – Thankyou.
To the competitions themselves – they went down a real treat with worthy winners.
The Glenville duo of Christine Mulvey and Catherine Fox came out on top in the Junior Section with Christine ultimately getting the win.

The Intermediate section was won by local player Theresa King who came in towards the end of the session to pip an unlucky Laura Whelan of Old County by one shot.

The Senior section was also a tough contest with home player Glenda Hoey shrugging off one of the best players the game has ever seen in Ger Ward of Portmarnock to capture the title. Ger applied some pressure in the 1st 9 of the second round whilst playing with Glenda but Glenda stayed firm and at one point was -6 for the round. It can’t be easy to close out a win with Ger Ward breathing down your neck so a big well done to Glenda for seeing it out.
